2023 Scientific Symposium: Connecting Craft Villages with Tourism Development

The 2023 scientific symposium focused on the theme 'Potential, advantages and solutions for connecting craft villages and traditional trades in tourism development'.
Scientific presentations
The first presentation, on 'Preserving and promoting the Paper Flower craft village', was delivered by Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, former Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and advisory board member at the Asia Tourism Development Institute.
The second paper, titled 'Protecting indigenous culture, the beginning of sustainable tourism development', was presented by Pham Hai Quynh, Director of the Asia Tourism Development Institute and Chairman of the Vietnam Community Tourism Association.
The third, on 'Exploring the Hue character in the culinary space of Thanh Tien Paper Flower village', was given by Dao Trong Kien, Deputy Director of the Asia Tourism Development Institute.
The fourth paper, on 'Digitalisation - a story to approach and promote the value of indigenous culture', was delivered by Nguyen Ba Tung, Chairman of the Tourism Community Development Council and Founder of the Outing App project.
The final paper, titled 'Traditional trades, craft villages, traditional craft villages of Hue', was presented by Dong Sy Toan, Head of the Economic Division of Hue City.
